Heirloom Italian Vegetable - Lincoln, NE After 38 years in public service in Ohio, Michigan, New York, Nebraska and Illinois Jim retired from the City of Rockford, IL as Community Development Director and returned to Nebraska to begin a new career as a market farmer. In 2005 he apprenticed with Kevin and Charuth Loth at ShadowBrook Farms and in 2006 started his own operation at SW 40th and West F Streets. His grandparents and parents always gardened and family members have operated Italian restaurants in Ohio and Italy. Food has always been a focal point and tradition in his family.
